Choose who to include
Think about the family, friends, and charities you’d like to remember in your Will. Many people ensure their loved ones are looked after first so they are supported in the future.
How should I word my Will to include a gift to Cystic Fibrosis Trust?
If you decide to leave a gift to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, it’s really straightforward to include us in your Will. Once you’ve decided on the gift, please ask your solicitor to use our full name and details to ensure the gift reaches us:
Cystic Fibrosis Trust, One Aldgate, London, EC3N 1RE
Registered charity in England and Wales (1079049) and Scotland (SC040196)
The type of gift to leave
There are two main ways of leaving a gift. A pecuniary legacy is a fixed amount of money, whilst a residuary legacy is a percentage or share of the balance of your estate once all other payments and gifts have been made.
Many people chose to leave a residual gift as it keeps in line with inflation and doesn’t lose value over time. Whatever you decide to leave to us will make a huge difference. Just 1% of your estate can help us to continue to fight for a life unlimited for those with cystic fibrosis.
Visit your solicitor
If you don’t already have a Will, you should visit a solicitor to have your Will drawn up. We can’t recommend a solicitor, but you can find one in your local area by contacting the Law Society in England (020 7242 1222), Scotland (0131 226 7411) or Northern Ireland (028 9023 1614).
Our free Will writing service is also available for people over the age of 18.
